Transport experience is required.

We are working with a Birmingham-based Freight and Logistics organisation who have an exciting opportunity to join their busy Transport team. This opportunity is working for one of the largest privately-owned Freight Forwarders, who offer ongoing training and career progression.

The role of Transport Planner requires a candidate who has previously worked in a Transport environment.

The successful candidate will have experience in:

Creating schedules for Transport.

Being responsible for booking haulage receive and deliver

Scheduling containers from Southampton.

Being responsible for container releases.

Duties and responsibilities of the Transport Planner:

Haulage allocation and ensuring all requirements are met by suppliers.

Manage transport booking requirements.

Liaising with other departments, shipping lines and hauliers to ensure SLAs and KPIs are met and adhered to.

Sustain and develop relationships with key accounts.

Unfortunately only candidates with experience in Transport, particularly booking haulage and scheduling containers, will be considered for this role.
