Behaviour Mentor | Birmingham, B30 | 85 - 100 per day | ASAP Start

LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join our partner primary school in the Kings Norton area, specifically supporting Key Stage 2 pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about encouraging positive behaviour in children with SEN. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students who need extra support to thrive academically and socially. This long-term role comes with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Key Stage 2 student exhibiting challenging behaviour, enforcing clear and consistent boundaries.
  • Help maintain a nurturing and positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement strategies aimed at improving behavioural outcomes.
  • Encourage active engagement and participation in classroom activities.
  • Offer targeted interventions to support students' learning, wellbeing, and personal development.

What we are looking for:

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree.
  • Experience working in a primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2.
  • Qualifications such as TeamTeach or training in Positive Behaviour Management are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience managing challenging behaviours and a strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students.
  • A passion for helping children overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
