Job Description:

SMART EDUCATION is seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving Design & Technology department in a Birmingham secondary school.

This is a permanent, full-time position starting in September 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering students' understanding of nutrition, cooking techniques, and food science.

The school is committed to providing an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, where students develop essential life skills alongside their academic studies. Creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning are at the heart of their curriculum.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
Ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities
A commitment to health, safety, and hygiene standards in food preparation

Job Details:

Location: Birmingham
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-time, permanent role – 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
