Alliance Personnel are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join one of their clients based in Birmingham, B66.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role involves fabricating and assembling components to meet precise specifications while ensuring high-quality welding standards.
Duties
- Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
- Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Proficiency in assembling components accurately according to specifications.
- Basic maths skills for measuring, calculating dimensions, and ensuring precision in work.
- Experience in fabricating metal parts using various welding techniques, particularly MIG and TIG.
The working week is 38 1/2 hours over 4 days Monday to Thursday with overtime on Fridays if needed.
Start time is: 6:40am to 4:45pm
Pay is 15 per hour, increasing to 16 per hour after successful temp to perm probation.
