We are seeking a skilled and reliable part time HGV2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires the ability to operate flatbed lorries and manage deliveries with precision and care. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and effectively.
Duties
- Operate flatbed lorries for the safe transport of goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for safe transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the delivery process.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving is essential, with a valid HGV licence required.
- Experience operating flatbed lorries is highly desirable.
- Proven track record as a delivery driver with a strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently and manage time effectively under tight schedules.
5am start 3 to 4 days per week
