We're on the lookout for a new SousChefto support our vision atThe Catherine Wheel , Albury, near Bishops Stortford. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Sous Chef to actively contribute this much loved destination venue.
The ideal candidate will come from a high-quality establishment and have a passion for creating delicious and exciting menus, using fresh locally sourced ingredients. We're seeking a Sous Chef who has a critical eye for detail, who's up to date with food trends, setting new standards and creating trends of their own, working directly with the owners and Head Chef to push the boundaries ofmodern British pub/restaurant dining.
You will be part of an exciting new kitchen team, setting the highest professional standards. We believe a successful team is friendly, professional, hardworking, creative and supportive. We understand the need for a good work life balance and believe a happy team is a successful team.
What we would LOVE from you
- Currently be an experienced Sous Chef with exceptional cooking skills
- Be a go-getter with a zest for life and a love of hospitality
- Have a great back of house presence
- Be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Have a good understanding of stock control, ordering and GP
- Be a great communicator with ability to work collaboratively.
