- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify, research, and target new business opportunities within the insurance industry.
- Client Acquisition: Proactively contact and engage potential clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored insurance solutions.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring regular follow-ups and consistent conversion of leads.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
- Negotiation & Closing: Effectively present and negotiate terms, closing deals that meet both client needs and company objectives.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, underwriting, and customer service to deliver seamless solutions to clients.
- Reporting: Regularly update the CRM system and provide detailed reports on sales activities, pipeline progress, and forecasts.
- Targets: Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to the overall growth of the business.
- Proven Track Record: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development or sales, preferably within the insurance industry but not mandatory
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance products, regulations, and market trends.
- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close deals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear, persuasive manner.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills, able to balance client needs with company objectives.
- Self-Motivated: Highly driven, proactive, and able to work independently to meet targets.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Networking: Strong ability to network and build lasting relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience in commercial or corporate sales.
