Page Personnel are hiring for a Payroll Manager and Bookkeeper to join an Accounting & Finance team in Bishops Stortford. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll function for around 100 staff and assisting with various accounting duties.

Description

  • Management of the payroll functions across the business including all year end reporting:
  • The Senior Payroll & Finance Assistant will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects relating to payroll functions across the company.
  • The successful candidate will support the Financial Controller to ensure all key deadlines are met. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive and keen to lean, in return you will be provided with a supportive environment to learn and develop and grow within your role.
  • Ensure finance processes are followed whilst continually looking to make any improvements
  • Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of Group Financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with legal, statutory and other regulations at all times
  • Submission of all HMRC data and statistical returns. Assist with cost control measures
  • Assist with cost control measures
  • Management of daily cash position ensuring we stay within our banking facilities and key payments are made on time

Profile

The successful candidate should have

  • A proven background across all aspects of Payroll with full responsibility for this aspect
  • Experience managing weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A detail-oriented approach and ability to work under pressure.
  • High level of discretion and professional integrity.
