Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Bishops Stortford
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2025
We are seeking a passionate and motivated English Teacher to join our outstanding secondary school in Bishops Stortford. As an Ofsted Outstanding school, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional education, and we are looking for an inspiring English Teacher to help our students excel in both their academic and personal development.
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of taking on KS5 classes. You will play a key role in the English department, working collaboratively to create engaging lessons and foster a love for literature and language. We are searching for an English Teacher who is committed to helping students achieve their highest potential and develop essential communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching high-quality English lessons to students of varying abilities
- Collaborating with other English Teachers to improve and develop the English curriculum
- Encouraging a passion for reading, writing, and critical thinking in students
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for English
- Experience or newly qualified as an English Teacher
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
