Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive school in Bishop's Stortford. You will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of each child.
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Encourage independence and build confidence in pupils with diverse learning challenges.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties) is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A relevant qualification in education or SEN is preferred but not essential.
