HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.
We are looking for a Accountant / Financial Controller / Bookkeeper  to join a family run business, with several other companies that report into the one main company based in the beautiful town of Bishop’s Waltham.Â
HSB Technical’s client is a very established and well-regarded business entity.
Duties and responsibilities of the Accountant / Financial Controller / BookkeeperÂ
•      Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting processÂ
•      Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and supplier statements
•      Maintain the purchase ledger and sales ledger  Â
•      Produce profit and loss reports and balance sheets Â
•      Assist with budget preparation and financial forecastingÂ
•      Process payroll, including PAYE, pensions, and other deductions
•      Ensure VAT returns are accurate and submitted on time.Duties and responsibilities of the Â
Skills and Experience Required Accountant / Financial Controller / BookkeeperÂ
•     Proven experience as a Bookkeeper /Accountant / Financial Controller, or in a similar role   Â
•     AAT qualification or similar accounting certification (desirable)
•     Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and UK tax regulations, including VAT    Â
•     Proficiency in accounting software (e.g ; Xero, QuickBooks, Sage )  Â
•     Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyse financial data
•     Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
•     Must be able to travel to Bishop Waltham daily for work
