Techniche Global are supporting a leading manufacturing company to appoint a Process Improvement Engineer. The successful candidate must be prepared to undertake the training in Time Study practices, have a proven manufacturing background and be familiar with continuous improvement techniques.

  Salary:                   £25-29k (salary will be revised after probation period)Location:              Bishop Auckland, Durham- 100% onsiteDuration:             perm, full-timeWorking Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 2.00pm Friday.This vacancy will be subject to a 3-month probationary period. Key Competencies/duties:Once training is complete:
  • Carry out work measurement exercises using the techniques of time study.
  • Establish standard minute values.
  • Carry out method study exercises.
  • Improve design and effectiveness of labour, process layout and work flows.
  • Production of reports.
  • Design documentation, maintain and improve recording systems within own area of responsibility.
  • Support new product development and introduction.
  • Assist in cost reduction exercises.
During the training period the successful candidate will be involved in various manufacturing activities to gain an understanding of processes and equipment. Essential qualifications/experience:
  • Educated to A level standard or NVQ Level 3 is preferred.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent IT skills.

  • Ability to deliver process changes in the production environment.
