Techniche Global are supporting a leading manufacturing company to appoint a Process Improvement Engineer. The successful candidate must be prepared to undertake the training in Time Study practices, have a proven manufacturing background and be familiar with continuous improvement techniques.
  Salary:                  £25-29k (salary will be revised after probation period)Location:             Bishop Auckland, Durham- 100% onsiteDuration:            perm, full-timeWorking Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 2.00pm Friday.This vacancy will be subject to a 3-month probationary period. Key Competencies/duties:Once training is complete:- Carry out work measurement exercises using the techniques of time study.
- Establish standard minute values.
- Carry out method study exercises.
- Improve design and effectiveness of labour, process layout and work flows.
- Production of reports.
- Design documentation, maintain and improve recording systems within own area of responsibility.
- Support new product development and introduction.
- Assist in cost reduction exercises.
- Educated to A level standard or NVQ Level 3 is preferred.
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Self-motivated, capable of working alone or as part of a multi-functional team.
- Flexible attitude.
- Ability to deliver process changes in the production environment.
