We are currently recruiting for a well-established business based in Blackburn who are looking for a solid Management Accountant to join their team. The role will report directly into the Senior Finance team, and you will be involved in all aspects of the business from a month end reporting perspective with particular focus on the commercial variances and outcomes.

Duties will include:

Preparation of the monthly management accounts including commentary for the board of Directors

Responsible for the stock reporting/usage and manage any variances.

Develop the KPIs around customer trend analysis and market appraisals.

Assist with the budgetary control, expenditure, and overhead management.

Manage accurately all intercompany reconciliations

Accruals/Prepayments

Managing the working capital reporting across multi sites and reporting any variances

Responsible for the HMRC/VAT submissions

Monitor sales analysis and GP analysis.

Manage daily banking and cashflow balances
The role would suit a candidate who has already gained a solid background within the month end reporting cycle but wants to gain more autonomy in a wider business sense. You will work alongside both finance and non-finance personnel and challenge variances where appropriate, influencing decision makers in the wider business.
You will ideally be fully qualified, (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and have some solid experience in the month end processes, although if you have a solid background within a commercial environment but are QBE then we would consider your application. The role does offer the opportunity to progress across the wider group for the right candidate and has an advanced benefits package, but the person fit for the business is key.
