As a Management Accountant, you will prepare monthly management accounts, reports, and variance analysis, as well as perform bank reconciliations, VAT returns, sales reporting and analysis, annual audit/tax pack requirements, and other ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month-end journals and analyze P&L accounts.

  • Compile Monthly Reporting Packs (MRP) with commentary on key variances.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and raise concerns.

  • Perform daily sales and bank reconciliations.

  • Maintain the fixed asset register.

  • Complete quarterly VAT returns.

  • Reconcile intercompany accounts.

  • Follow Standard Operating Processes (SOPs).

  • Assist with purchase ledger as required.

  • Monitor debtors ledger and escalate issues.

  • Assist with annual/biannual stock takes.

  • Allocate cash receipts on cashier accounts.

  • Complete ‘Office for National Statistics’ questionnaires.

  • Conduct sales reporting and analysis.

  • Contribute to annual business planning.

  • Support year-end audits and external Finance consultants.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' experience in a similar role.

  • ACCA/CIMA (part qualified).

  • Excellent Excel and IT skills.

  • Experience with Sage 200 (desirable).

  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.

  • Quick learner, self-motivated, multitasker, hardworking, enthusiastic, and a team player.
