R&D Tax Senior Job Vacancy

This well established, multi-office firm of accountants in Blackburn is searching for a talented accountant in corporate tax who can lead the provision of services for a portfolio of clients, support junior staff and work on ad hoc projects relating to R&D with the senior leadership team.

You’ll be able to support a varied client base with a R&D focused tax skillset and the capability to run the claims for the firms’ clients.

Ideally you’ll be CTA or ATT qualified or a finalist and you’ll certainly have demonstrable experience in a tax based role. You’ll be able to inspire the team around you and you’ll be a sound communicator capable of developing loyal and satisfied customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare R&D claims.
  • Ensure client assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider tax team, utilising resource effectively to maximise client service.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships, ensuring awareness of their requirements.
  • Recognise and respond to clients’ business needs, providing quality tax advice on all aspects of assignments.
  • Empower the tax team through appropriate delegation and effective people management.
  • Consistently seek internal improvement, presenting opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the firms ongoing strategic direction, communicating and adapting to change.
  • Manage margins effectively to drive profitability.
  • Successful engagement of new clients.
  • Proactively engage with the mentoring and development of junior staff.
