Senior Management Accountant | Blackburn (Office Based) | £47-57k + bonus

TalentEdge is supporting a well-established and ever-growing business in the Blackburn area.

Role Overview:

In this role, you will provide accounting support within the finance team, ensuring that key financial close and day-to-day activities are completed accurately and on time. You will work closely with the Senior Finance Managers and Financial Controller, alongside experienced and knowledgeable senior finance partners and accountants. You will play a part of fixed asset lead in this essential role.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and oversee multiple entities fixed asset registers including assets under construction
  • Manage PPA and impartment schedules
  • Prepare and post key journal entries.
  • Ensure timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for your area of responsibility.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Oversee and manage personal and junior team members' tasks throughout the audit process, ensuring timely and accurate responses to the reviewer.
  • Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
  • Develop and maintain robust processes and controls in line with group requirements.
  • Ensure consistent documentation of all tasks and activities according to internal policies.
  • Continuously review and improve finance processes and controls.

Knowledge/experience required: 

  • Qualified in ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong excel and technical skills
  • Fixed assets experience
  • GAAP/IFRS knowledge
