We are delighted to be working with a well-established retail business in Blackburn, looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance administration, particularly purchase ledger, and experience in revenue reconciliations.
The successful Accounts Assistant must have experience handling stock purchase orders and sales invoices, a solid understanding of retail finance, and the ability to manage high-volume transactions and communicate with various members of the business to reconcile discrepancies.

What you’ll do:
- Create and maintain accurate supplier accounts
- Process and amend purchase orders and invoices
- Verify payments and allocate costs correctly
- Request and reconcile monthly supplier statements also resolving discrepancies
- Issue refunds and process replacements to maintain stock levels
- Complete month-end tasks to ensure ledger accuracy
- Resolve supplier issues and goods-in discrepancies
- Perform reconciliations across various income transactions
- Support year-end audits with accurate financial data
- Work with the wider team to ensure smooth running across the business
