The businessAn established and fast-growing property management business is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about accounting and eager to make an impact.RoleAs an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the business financial management processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining robust financial systems.Duties include :
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Process invoices, schedule payments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Month-End Support: Reconcile accounts and prepare documentation for the month-end closing process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to provide guidance on accounting practices and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Process Improvement: Conduct audits of financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated on financial regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Studying an accounting qualification - ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT
  • Previous experience gained within a fast pace finance function
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Effective communicator and ability to engage at all levels
  • Familiarity with financial management principles in the property sector is a bonus.
