Job Title - Legal Cashier
Location - Blackburn
Salary - Up to £28k
Our client are a well-established legal firm who are seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Cashier to join their Finance Team at the Head Office located in Blackburn. This full-time position offers a structured work week of 36.25 hours, Monday through Friday.
Main duties include:
- Managing daily banking tasks
- Preparing electronic bank transfers, including CHAPS, BACS, and Faster Payments
- Performing bank reconciliations for client and business accounts
- Reconciling client ledgers
- Administering petty cash
- Processing client and office accounting transactions, including postings
- Handling client-to-office transfers
Role requirements:
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier, with knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Strong numeracy skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide support as needed
