The Role of the Managing Director
The Annular Group are collaborating with an established UK based Network Infrastructure specialist in their pursuit for their next Managing Director. We are seeking an exceptional MD to lead this ambitious UK-based SME as they continue on their upward growth trajectory. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of commercial acumen, preferably with experience in IT networking or IT infrastructure environments, however, engineering & senior commercial backgrounds will also be considered.

Job Summary
As Managing Director, you will be responsible for driving the company's strategic vision, overseeing all operations, and ensuring continued growth and profitability. You will lead a talented team, foster innovation, and maintain their competitive edge in the IT sector.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve short and long-term business objectives

Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effective management of resources

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors

Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing senior management team2.

Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities

Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements

Drive innovation and technological advancement within the company

Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Represent the company at industry events and in media engagements
Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a Managing Director or senior executive role, ideally in an IT networking or IT infrastructure environment

Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving business growth

Excellent leadership and team management skills

In-depth understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, and Marketing

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred

Engineering background with commercial experience will be considered
Working Conditions

Full-time position based at their UK head office.
