Our client, a family run manufacturing business based in Blackburn, is looking to appoint an experienced credit controller to ensure that invoices are paid on time, evaluate new credit requests and advise on credit limits. This role will be well suited to an experienced and personable candidate who possesses exceptional organisational skills, is able to communicate effectively and enjoys working in a small team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keeping a close watch on debtor account balances
  • Chasing payment for overdue sales invoices
  • Responding to customer queries
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Posting and allocating daily cash receipts
  • Raising manual invoices / credit notes
  • Managing insured credit limits
  • Managing credit insurance claims
  • Creating new customer accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Customer relations
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Person Specification

  • Previous credit control experience is essential
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent teamwork
  • Persistence and determination
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel and Word
