About the Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Blackburn. The successful candidate will support our Key Stage 2 pupils in their learning, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons for Key Stage 2 pupils.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with varying abilities.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Help to maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Support the development of pupils' social and emotional skills.
  • Contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities and events.

About You:We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who:

  • Has experience working with children, preferably within a Key Stage 2 setting.
  • Holds or is working towards a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
  • Has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and the needs of children.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is passionate about education and making a positive impact on young learners.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
