The Role:As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students in Years 1 and 2. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the delivery of engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Providing tailored support to individual and small groups of children, particularly those with additional learning needs
  • Supporting children's social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Helping with classroom organisation, resources, and maintaining a positive and stimulating learning environment
  • Observing and recording student progress, providing feedback to the teacher as needed
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to learning

The Ideal Candidate:We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children, preferably within a school setting
  • Are passionate about early childhood education and supporting children's development
  • Are patient, nurturing, and committed to helping children reach their potential
  • Have strong communication skills and a positive, proactive approach
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) is desirable, though not essential
  • Experience with children with special educational needs (SEN) is a plus
