Sonic Summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide personalized support to students with challenging behaviors at a school near Preston.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with children exhibiting challenging behaviors and preferably have de-escalation training.
This full-time position requires a minimum of one year of experience as a Teaching Assistant, along with a willingness to undergo safeguarding training if not already completed.
The role offers a pay rate starting at £90 per day, depending on experience, and will begin in January with ongoing duration.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.

SEMH TA:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to deliver person centred support to pupils who present high levels of challenging behaviours associated with SEMH issues at a school near Preston.

The candidate must have experience working with children who display challenging behaviours, preferably with de-escalation training. The successful candidate will be keen to make a difference, being empathetic and understanding. You must be confident working on a 1-1 basis.

Role: SEMH TA
Location: Preston
Hours: 0830:1530 (during term time)
Minimum rate of pay: £90 per day (dependant on experience)
Type of work: Temporary
Full time/part time: Full time only
Start date: January
Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

Up to date Safeguarding training in the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
Previous experience with Team Teach training
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional references
