An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Manager to join a leading Manufacturing company in Blackburn due to a number of recent acquisitions and growth. This company are going through an exciting period of transformation & growth making it an excellent time to join the company. They have an excellent reputation in their sector with high levels of staff retention.

Description

The Credit Control Manager role will be 100% office based in Blackburn and will initially be a temporary contract for 6 months with the option to extend.

Reporting to the Financial Controller Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a team of credit controllers
  • Work closely with Senior Leadership Team, including sharing and updating aged debt reports
  • Allocating cash receipts and cheques
  • Managing debt recovery actions where necessary
  • Ensuring up to date and transparent information for the relevant managers and directors
  • Work closely with the Invoicing and accounts payable team
  • Chase queries and follow up where required
  • Manage the Dunning Process on a weekly basis
  • Weekly review and report on collection progress across all regions
  • Implementation of escalation processes, both internally and externally
  • Effectively manage a team of Credit Controllers, including 1-2-1 mentorship, delegation of tasks and regularly reviewing each ledger, setting targets to continue the reduction in debtor days
  • Chase customers daily by phone & email, building excellent relationships with clients to maximise cash collection

Profile

In order to apply for the role you should:

  • Have Previous experience as a Credit Control Team Leader/Manager
  • Be confident on Excel to v look up and pivot table level
  • Be able to commute full time to office in Blackburn
  • Be able to consider 6 month contract initially
