Search is working with an Award-Winning Manufacturing company based in Blackburn who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team.

The Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the local financial operations of the legal entity. This role ensures financial transparency and supports the Financial Controller in decision-making processes, with a specific focus on mill performance.

Key Responsibilities:

In the area of financial reporting and analysis, the manager will ensure financial transparency through comprehensive reports, analyses, interpretations, and recommendations for corrective measures. The role oversees reporting and planning processes, CIP valuation, and initiate gap-closing activities. Additionally, they support the monthly creation of financial statements, and manage month-end and year-end closing processes.

For project support, the manager assists with internal finance projects or CPA-EX projects in collaboration with Group Functions. The Finance Manager ensures tax compliance in cooperation with the Group Head of Tax. Also, manages tax planning and reporting, and support internal and external audits.

In daily accounting routines, the manager monitors and analyses daily accounting activities across all relevant areas, including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivables, accounts payable, and taxes. They provide transparency on performance and proactively act as a business partner to management through detailed reports, analyses, interpretations, and recommendations for corrective measures.

Regarding reporting and planning, the manager oversees reporting and planning processes in alignment with group standards, such as GAP closing and CIP. Also, the management of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.

The manager is responsible for financial performance against budget and forecasts, cash flow management and liquidity, cost savings and efficiency improvements, and compliance with financial regulations and standards.The role involves business planning and target setting, influencing MBR and GAP closing, business planning, and group controlling standards.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or controlling roles
  • Previous experience as a Finance Manager is desirable
  • Part or fully ACCA/CIMA qualified or a finalist
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in financial reporting
  • Previous usage of SAP.
