About the Role

Our Group team are excited to present a new opportunity in EG Group for a Senior Finance Manager (Leases) to join our Head Office. The successful candidate will be key to developing consistent and accurate financial reporting with regards to the Groups extensive lease portfolio and in providing cross functional support across the Group with commercial decision making.

Reporting into the Group Financial Reporting Director, the Senior Finance Manager (Leases) will operate as part of the Group Reporting function and will also provide ongoing support to Country Finance and the Group Property & Real Estate function.

This role will have an emphasis on application of extensive IFRS16 knowledge into readily available comprehensive financial analysis. For the role, the Group is looking for the right candidate to utilise relevant career experiences in improving the existing control environment whilst conducting data maintenance around our IFRS16 database (Qube) as part of a broader ICFR programme.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for the update and maintenance of the Groups extensive lease portfolio and accurate accounting adherence under IFRS16

Control and ownership over data managed and exported from the Groups lease management software MRI Horizon/Qube

Lead on the delivery of monthly reconciliations and supporting workings for country finance teams inclusive of;

oPreparation of SAP journals

oEnsuring RoU asset and Liability consistency across reported numbers at local and consolidated level

Provide ongoing ownership of the process and control environment from record to report across right of use assets and liabilities under IFRS16

Key point of contact for the following stakeholders:

oGroup Finance

oEstates Team (Group and Country)

oCountry Finance teams

oExternal Auditors

oExternal Advisors

oSoftware Providers (MRI Horizon/Qube)

Support in determining the Groups IBR and responsibility for ensuring its appropriate application

Leading a standardised approach for IAS 17 methodology to support the monthly external reporting across the Groups KPIs

Routine system data integrity testing and validation inclusive of;

Retrospective reviews

Qualifications / Experience:

ACA qualified (or equivalent)

Comprehensive understanding of IFRS16 accounting treatment

Experience of business partnering, financial reporting and commercial analysis desirable

Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment, to multitask, to get into detail where needed and to meet deadlines on a timely basis

Strong relationship and communication skills

Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and experience of SAP and Qube desirable
