Eventus Legal is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a well-established, expanding law firm. This is a full-time, permanent job role with hybrid and flexible working based in Blackburn. Additional benefits include on-site parking and the employee benefit scheme, Perks at Work.

Role Responsibilities

The incoming Clinical Negligence Solicitor will be responsible for managing their own caseload of clinical negligence matters with minimal supervision.

The team provide advice to clients on a wide range of surgical and medical negligence claims including GP negligence, delayed diagnosis, misdiagnosis and sepsis to name a few.

The day-to-day responsibilities for the Clinical Negligence Solicitor include:

  • Evaluating cases to establish viability of claims
  • Gathering evidence such as medical records, witness statements and expert opinions
  • Liaising with clients to discuss the best course of action
  • Preparing and filing legal documents
  • Negotiating with defendants lawyers or insurers regarding settlements
  • Representing clients in court where a settlement has not been reached
  • Advising clients on compensation
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the process
Person Specification

Applications are sought from Clinical Negligence Solicitors with experience managing their own caseload, ideally with a minimum of 3 years PQE and are able to demonstrate the following:

  • Commercial awareness
  • Litigation experience
