The Role:

As the Master Production Scheduler, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our client's manufacturing operations are optimised for efficiency and effectiveness. Your core responsibility will be to plan and schedule all manufactured parts, components, and finished goods, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled on time. Additionally, you will oversee outsourcing capacity as needed to meet production targets.

You will develop and implement strategies and tools to translate forecast demand into actionable production requirements. This role involves maintaining the master production schedule, monitoring inventory levels, and continuously seeking ways to enhance scheduling processes. Furthermore, you will lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of growth and professional development.


Key Responsibilities:

- Safety First: Promote and maintain a safe working environment, fostering a strong "Safety First" culture.

- Strategic Development: Create and execute a strategy for planning and scheduling, aligning production needs with business goals.

- Scheduling Tools: Develop tools to translate forecasted demand into production requirements and manage production capacity effectively.

- Master Schedule Management: Maintain and adjust the master production schedule, ensuring it reflects customer demand and production constraints.

- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts by collaborating with various departments.

- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency of the scheduling process and enhance overall production performance.

- Cross-functional engagement: Work closely with design and product management teams to ensure production capabilities meet customer expectations.

- Material Requirements Planning: Translate production needs into material requirements to support strategic procurement efforts.

- Leadership: Lead and mentor the planning and scheduling team, creating clear career paths and development opportunities.


Required Skills and Experience:

- Significant experience in a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment, with a background in a supervisory or management role.

- Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks through to successful completion.

- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and cost improvements.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

- Results-oriented, proactive, energetic, and adaptable to change.

Key Performance Indicators:

- Accuracy of manufacturing plan relative to sales demand

- 95% availability of category-specific manufactured A Line components

- 95% OTIF performance

- 85% OEE performance

- Adherence to 6S Audits and EH&S Protocols
