My client a well established manufacturing and distribution company based in Blackburn is currently seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join Parcel picking team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks related to shipping, receiving, and materials handling are executed effectively. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
The working hours are afternoons 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday (training on days is required for the first week)
Duties
- Manage inventory through a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including checking shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
- Assist in building pallets for shipping and preparing products for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe handling practices is required.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes will be beneficial.
- Proficiency in using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is desirable but not mandatory.
