Prospero Teaching, a leading teaching recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic team in Blackburn.
About the Role:
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to identify and address challenging behaviour in students.
- Develop and implement individualised behaviour plans to support students in making positive choices.
- Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and encouraging open communication.
- Advocate for students emotional well-being and mental health.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
What we are looking for:
- A minimum of 2 years experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
- A proven track record of successfully supporting students with behavioural challenges.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Strong understanding of child development and behaviour management strategies.
What we offer:
- Location - Blackburn
- Position - Behaviour Mentor
- Contract or position start date - ASAP
- Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2024
- Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary - Permanent
- Full time/part time - Full time
- Minimum rate of pay - 100 - 120 per day (depending on experience)
- Hours - Mon - Fri (term time only)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
