About the Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Personal Injury Solicitor or experienced Litigation Executive with over 2 years of experience handling RTA/PI claims to join a growing Litigation team. You will manage your own caseload of litigated RTA claims while providing support on complex matters to claims handlers and paralegals within the department. The majority of the cases you will handle will involve Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review liability and quantum on personal injury files, including credit hire, before issuing proceedings.
  • Draft and prepare court documents for issuing proceedings.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain further information or documents required to substantiate claims.
  • Review medical reports and additional evidence to ensure strong case preparation.
  • Review offers received and advise clients on the risks involved in accepting or rejecting them.
  • Review defences and prepare replies in a timely manner.
  • Draft lists of documents and review the Defendant's list of documents.
  • Take and draft witness statements from clients and other witnesses.
  • Prepare clients and cases for trial, ensuring all relevant documents and evidence are in order.
  • Brief counsel and attend trials within the local vicinity as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 2 years of experience handling RTA/Personal Injury claims, either as a solicitor or litigation executive.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury claims, particularly RTA, and related procedures.
  • Excellent client care skills and a commercial approach to case management.
  • Strong drafting skills, with the ability to prepare and review key legal documents.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently while working within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
