I am partnering with a brilliant Energy business based in Manchester to find a Qualified Accountant to partner with the MD for a prominent, profitable and growing part of the business with a dotted line into the CFO.


The role would suit a a commercial thinking Accountant who has a good understanding of month end, reporting and forecasting processes, the linkage between assets on the balance sheet and their drive of the P&L, an attention to detail and KPIs who enjoys probing and drilling into data to produce insightful analysis and recommendations. A can-do operator capable and interested in building relationships and partnering across the organisation to drive solutions and positive outcomes.


This role is a hybrid role. Company offices located in North Manchester.


Role


Act as a strategic partner Collaborate with senior leaders and their teams, providing insights and guidance that align with business goals and enhance financial outcomes


Lead financial planning Facilitate long-term business planning, oversee the annual budgeting process, and manage rolling forecasts, ensuring all financial activities support the overall Group strategy


Drive decision-making Prepare monthly management reports and deliver accurate, high-quality financial data that empowers leaders to make informed decisions


Boost performance Establish a robust performance management system by setting and tracking financial targets to ensure the business meets its objectives


Innovate proactively Develop early warning mechanisms to detect financial risks, ensuring a stable balance between incoming and outgoing funds


Support audit processes Play an integral role in both internal and external audits, offering the necessary financial insights and responding to audit requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Accountant
  • FP&A experience
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems
