We are a fast-growing company specialising in the delivery of ECO4 (Energy Company Obligation) and renewable energy projects. Our mission is to provide sustainable, cost-effective energy solutions to clients, helping to combat climate change and reduce energy consumption. With exciting growth ahead, we are looking to expand our team and bring on board an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage tenders, oversee funded contracts, and ensure project delivery aligns with financial and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Cost Management: Manage all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control for ECO4 and renewables projects, ensuring they are delivered within the agreed budget.
  • Tendering: Prepare tender documentation, costings, and pricing strategies for new projects, ensuring competitive and accurate submissions.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee the financial aspects of funded contracts, including contract negotiations, variations, and valuations, in line with ECO4 funding requirements and industry standards.
  • Risk & Value Management: Identify potential project risks and opportunities, optimising value and cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate cost reports, cash flows, and final accounts, ensuring all stakeholders are fully informed of project financial performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, clients, and contractors to provide financial advice and ensure smooth project delivery, while maintaining positive relationships with all parties.
  • Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure all work complies with ECO4 regulations, renewable energy standards, and the companys sustainability objectives, contributing to the achievement of energy-saving targets.
  • Growth & Innovation: Contribute to the companys ongoing growth and development by supporting business development activities and exploring new opportunities in the renewables sector.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the ECO (Energy Company Obligation), renewables, or sustainable energy sectors.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. RICS membership or working towards chartership is desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ECO4 schemes, renewable energy projects, and associated funding mechanisms.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven track record in managing the commercial aspects of projects, including cost control, tendering, and contract management.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with estimating and cost management software.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial management and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to tackling challenges and delivering solutions.
