Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with Severfield, the largest specialist structural steelwork Group in the UK, with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team in the group’s Nuclear and Infrastructure division, working for a business which prides itself on quality and innovation, with unrivalled expertise in critical infrastructure projects. 

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be working on high value and critical projects, building relationships with a range of high-profile clients which service the defence, nuclear, oil & gas and petrochemical sectors. 

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for: 

  • Delivery, as part of a team, of successful commercial outcomes of key nuclear and defence projects 
  • Commercial responsibilities from contract award through to completion and final account
  • Managing variations and changes with customers Working as part of an experienced commercial team
  • Developing relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes

The Quantity Surveyor will need: 

  • Previous experienceworking as a QS or Assistant QS
  • Construction industry experience in a commercial role
  • Experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
  • Good communication skills with the ability to influence
  • An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
  • Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining relationships
