Unite People is working with an established, specialist infrastructure contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work with their commercial team on a full-time, salary basis in their Lancashire, North West office.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will be working for a large organisation with a long history of working on projects in the construction and civil engineering industries. You will be working with an established team, that employs a number of Quantity Surveyors at all levels. Your role will entail mostly office based, with project visits approximately twice per month.

The successful candidate will be working with an established group of clients with an impressive order book already going forward. You will be overseeing a 40m+ project with two direct reports.

  • Maintaining commercial controls on projects
  • Key commercial contact with the clients team
  • Monthly cost reporting
  • Change control
  • Up stream reporting
  • Cash flow forecasts and cost to complete
  • Close liaison and collaborative team work with the project team
  • Attend meetings with supply chain and internal teams
  • Administration of NEC form of contract

Background:

  • A relevant qualification in the Construction/ Civil Engineering industry preferred
  • Demonstrable working knowledge in a Senior Quantity Surveyor capacity
  • Experience working for a larger organisation with commercial reporting processes
  • Backgrounds working for civil engineering, construction or M&E organisations considered, using NEC form of contract
