Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in Blackburn, supporting pupils in small groups and one-on-one settings.
The role requires building rapport with parents, staff, and students, as well as preparing learning resources and managing behavior effectively.
Candidates must have relevant experience in a school or similar setting, particularly with children with special educational needs or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
The position offers a minimum pay rate of £85 per day, with full-time hours from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm, starting in January 2025 and ongoing.
Applicants must hold the right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate, with relevant experience preferred.

SEN TA - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join one of our schools near to Blackburn. You will be supporting pupils in small groups and 1-1.

The Role:

Building rapport with parents, staff and students
Preparing learning resources and activities
Managing behaviour effectively

EXPERIENCE:

Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Experience of effectively and positively managing behaviour.
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
