SEN TA - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join one of our schools near to Blackburn. You will be supporting pupils in small groups and 1-1.

The Role:

  • Building rapport with parents, staff and students
  • Preparing learning resources and activities
  • Managing behaviour effectively

Position Details:

  • Location: Blackburn
  • Position: SEN TA
  • Hours: 8:45am-3:15pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £85 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: Jan 2025
  • End date: Ongoing

EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Experience of effectively and positively managing behaviour.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
