SEN TA - Blackburn:
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced teaching assistant with experience supporting complex needs to join a school near to Blackburn.
Role Responsibilities:
- Leading groups of children on learning activities
- Managing behaviour effectively
- Preparing resources and establishing learning areas
- Building rapport with parents, students and staff
- Communicating with class teacher to monitor progress
Position Details:
- Location: Blackburn
- Position: SEN TA
- Hours: 8:45am-3:45pm, Mon-Fri
- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full time/Part time: Full time only
- Minimum Rate of Pay: 90 per day, depending on experience
- Start date: Jan 2025
- End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting children in a school setting is essential
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desired
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
