In this role, your main responsibilities will include carrying out lessons for absent teachers and this will involve using the lesson plans they have left for the class and ensuring pupils remain fully engaged with the learning. By being in this role, you should be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the pupils. You may be required to mark the work from the lessons you cover or liaise with parents if you secure a long-term role. This is a great role to broaden your experience working in various schools and year groups and to expand your knowledge.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK.
