SEN Teacher - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a qualified teacher with experience supporting complex needs to join a school near to Blackburn. This is a full time position to start after the February half term.

The Role:

  • Teaching a small class of students with complex needs, adapting lessons to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
  • Creating and delivering engaging lessons with a focus on developing key life skills alongside academic progress
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies and promoting emotional well-being
  • Working closely with parents, staff and external agencies to ensure each child's needs

Position Details:

  • Position: SEN Teacher
  • Location: Blackburn
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Hours: 8am-4:30pm
  • Minimum Rate of Pay; £145 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Qualified Teacher Status is required for this position
  • Previous experience supporting children with complex needs
  • Team Teach qualification is highly desired

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional references.
