Film & Television Production Lecturer
  • Job Type: Part-time (14.8 hours per week over 2 days, including Saturday mornings)
  • Location: Blackburn, North West
  • Salary: Lecturer Point 23-37

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Film & Television Production Lecturer to enhance the delivery of our Level 2 and Level 3 programmes. This role also includes leading the planning and delivery of our new BFI-backed Saturday Club. You will work under the Film and Music Curriculum Manager, playing a crucial role in inspiring young individuals to explore and excel in the vibrant film and television industry.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach and ensure attendance as required by the contract.
  • Set, assess, and record learners’ work in accordance with the procedures outlined by the appropriate awarding body.
  • Assist the Head of Studies in matters related to quality, curriculum, and resources.
  • Maintain registration systems and all necessary records as required by College monitoring procedures, including timetabling where appropriate.
  • Provide returns and records for College and external use, prepare reports, and write references for students as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Practical experience in the film, television, or media industries.
  • Experience working in an educational environment.
  • PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification, or currently working towards one.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A passion for educating and mentoring young talent in the creative industries.
