A fantastic opportunity has come up with a high growth technology company in the Fylde area. As they expand, they are seeking a dedicated and skilled Management Accountant to join the finance team.

Position Overview: We are looking for a part qualified Management Accountant to support our finance team in various accounting and financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by collecting and analyzing financial data.
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings accurately and on time.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • AAT qualification is desitable and continued study
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a finance or accounting department.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
