Roles & Responsibilities (But not limited to):
- Understand clients' sustainability goals and challenges to propose suitable solutions.
- Conduct presentations, meetings, and workshops to educate clients on strategies, guidelines, procurement and utility cost auditing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with acquired customers and nurture clients to cross sell further services.
- Attend pre booked appointments and nurture new business opportunities to fulfil sales targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that develop strong sales pipeline for future growth.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients, ensuring alignment with ambitions and alignment to SBTi as well as cost efficiency solutions and compliance services.
- Work closely with technical teams to develop tailored cost-optimisation strategies for clients.
- Provide expert advice on energy procurement, efficiency, renewable energy technologies, carbon accounting and SBTi-aligned strategies.
- Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the energy sector, particularly customer attitudes and behaviours to meeting sustainability goals that uncover opportunities.
- Oversee the mobilisation of new customer services, ensuring they meet client expectations and project timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver projects on time and to budget.
- Monitor and report on customer agreement mobilisation progress and outcomes, ensuring alignment with internal and external contract commitments.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
- Analyse competitors' offerings and market positioning to refine sales strategies.
- Collect and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of sales efforts and campaigns.
- Provide ongoing support to client’s post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
- Maintain client relationships through regular follow-ups, identifying opportunities for additional services or solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in CRM systems.
- Maintain an active pipeline of new sales opportunities, ensuring the weighted sales value and conversion rates meet monthly and annual targets.
- Provide monthly sales forecast, based on pipeline stage and actual rolling sales performance.
Essential Experience / Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, carbon accounting, and Science Based Targets (SBT or SBTi) would be desired.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to helping organisations decarbonise their business processes
