NextGen Teachers are excited to be recruiting for a Deputy Director of Maths for a full-time/permanent contract at one of our partnership schools in Blackpool, Lancashire. This school is based in the FY4 area and has easily accessible public transport links to and from the school.

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the development of a strong, effective school with an emphasis on promoting a culture of educational excellence, within a caring and secure environment enriched with the values of discipline, mutual care and respect which extends beyond the school into the wider community.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Strategic Direction and Development of the School
  • Leadership
  • Management of students
  • Management of resources
  • Planning and development of the Science department/curriculum
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Communication and liaison with other colleagues across the school and wider trust
  • Communication with parents and the wider community
  • Records management

Other responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the wider life of the School and Trust, its schools and its community through out of hours and partnership

  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children
  • Promote all of the Trusts core values and ethos
  • Carry out any such duties required by the Principal and wider trust
