CNC Subject Matter ExpertBlackpool (Onsite)Up to £55K D.O.E My client is seeking an experienced CNC Subject Matter Expert to support a critical project in the aerospace and medical device sectors. This role will focus on operating, programming, and optimising CNC machines, ensuring precise manufacturing processes in compliance with industry regulations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and program Fanuc Robodrill Alpha D21MiB5 CNC machines, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
  • Facilitate technology transfer of CNC milling processes for acrylic-like materials from EU to UK in an ISO8 environment.
  • Lead modernization efforts for CNC machines, including the installation of new Fanuc Robodrills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., maintenance, quality, packaging) to ensure smooth integration of new processes and equipment.
  • Provide expert training and guidance to staff on CNC operations and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards throughout the project.
  • Maintain and present performance matrices to Client and TCS management in a structured manner.
  • Address issues and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with Client and TCS management.

Key skills:

  • Extensive hands-on CNC operation and/or setup experience.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of plastic/polymer materials and machining.
  • Experience with basic CNC software and control modules.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with PLM processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to project deadlines with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, medical devices) preferred.
  • Familiarity with CNC milling processes, particularly for acrylic-like materials.
  • Experience in ISO-certified environments (ISO8 preferred).
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
