We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Assistant to join our Primary settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As an Early Years Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the holistic development of children aged 0-5 years. Your ability to manage, communicate effectively, and lead activities will be essential in promoting positive learning experiences.

We are currently recruiting for a variety early years assistant posts from full to part time on a term time temporary contract. You will be matched to a post based on your experience and availability. To be successful in this post, you will need:

  • A recognised early years qualification.
  • Previous early years class experience either in a school or nursery environment.
  • A childcare reference.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week up to a maximum of 5 days (between Monday - Friday).
  • Able to work between 8:30am-3:30pm.
  • Able to support schools or school nurseries and pre-schools located in the Blackpool area.

Duties:

  • Create and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the developmental needs of each child.
  • Manage daily activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning.
  • Foster a love of learning through play-based activities that encourage exploration and creativity.
  • Drive initiatives that promote social skills, emotional well-being, and cognitive development among children.
  • Maintain a clean, organised learning space.
