We are working in partnership with a selection of primary schools across the Blackpool area who are contacting us to recruit dynamic and intuitive TA's to support with short/long term contracts to start from January 2025.
Due to the amount of Primary schools that we are supporting there will be a variety of different placements, roles and lengths of contracts available. We will match you accordingly depending on your location, availability, background and qualifications. However, the one thing they all have in common, is that they need a general TA!
We are currently in need of a Level 2 or 3 class Teaching assistants, who have strong communication skills, great knowledge and experience with IT or IPad's, behaviour management and an understanding of social, emotional and health needs for pupils. You will be responsible for working with the Teacher collaboratively and creating a safe and trusted learning environment as well as supporting the preparation and delivery of lesson resources. For any children that require extra support, you will be needed to help one to one or with small groups.
This role will require you to support the class and children on an individual and small group basis. Full time roles will require you Monday - Friday from 8:30-15:30 (term time only), pay is from £13.50 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Help prepare a lesson and tidy the classroom afterwards
- Provide assistance with lesson plans
- Support children across the curriculum
- Give extra support to children with special needs
- Help mark work
- Report student progress
- Help look after the children during school trips and activities
- Look after children that are unwell
- Attend meetings
Essential requirements:
- Experience working with young people
- Class management skills
- Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
- Able to engage with and motivate children
- TA Qualified
