Working Hours: Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, and Friday

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis starting in January 2025. The successful candidate will support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities tailored to the needs of young children.

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support the implementation of individual learning plans (ILPs) for students with special educational needs.

  • Foster social and emotional development through positive interactions and activities.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.

  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young children's development.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
