SEMH Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience working with children/young people with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) difficulties or PTSD?

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a committed individual to join the team on a full time basis, supporting children with SEMH needs. You will be supporting students on a 121 or small group basis.

You must also be available full time, part time applicants will not be considered by the client.

EXPERIENCE

Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.

Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Experience of effectively and positively managing a class and leading learning with groups of pupils, using appropriate strategies to enable them to settle to learn.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

GCSE English/Maths at grade A to C or equivalent.Commitment to all CPD offered.Team Teach training would be beneficial to this role, however this can be provided for free.
